William Strnad
General Research Interests:
– Korean digraphic (Hanja and Han’gŭl (Chosŏn’g gŭl)) conflict
– the historical relationship between Korean nationalism and the language policies of the South and North
– development of the North Korean military (organization, force structure, doctrine, weapons, equipment, tactics, and training), during the years 1953-1976, in the context of North Korea’s Cold War threat perceptions

Lecturer at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and the European University of Business. He teaches the following courses: Modern Korean History I (1860-1945); Modern Korean History II (1945-Present); Introduction to Chinese Characters for the Korean Language I and II; Year II English; Year IV English; Modern World History; Global Thinking; International Relations; Introduction to Academic Writing; Creative Writing; Ethical Aspects of Communication; Evolution and History of the English Language; Specialized Text; Conversational Business English; and English for Economics.
