TOPIK
TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean; 한국어능력시험) is a written Korean language exam for foreign learners. The exam is administered by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED). From 2014 onward, the exam is divided into only two parts: TOPIK I (beginner) and TOPIK II (intermediate to advanced). Depending on the amount of points obtained, one of six levels of proficiency is awarded: 1 & 2 – beginner; 3 & 4 – intermediate; 5 & 6 – advanced.
The TOPIK exam has been available in Poland since 2016 and is administered at the Jagiellonian University. Our department offers courses preparing students for the exam. These courses are taught by experienced lecturers and focus on practical skills and excercises. Past papers and mock exams form the base of the courses and serve to familiarize students with the form as well as the scope of the exam.
